By the way, that was not the case

If you’re using a mac, you can send audio over the USB connection. Now AD/DA required.

Those of you using the u-24 with iPad, are you doing any send/return stuff? Thanks

Yes, usually with my Octatrack. Cue Outs into u24 input into AUM through FX to AUM out to Zoom out into one pair of Octatrack inputs. Good fun. MIDI control as sweetener.

sorry if this has been covered before, but do you know if you can send audio out from mac to the ipad via usb? also, is the sample rate fixed at 44.1 24-bit from ipad–>mac via usb? (i’m using a non-pro ipad) thx.

Is anyone here using the newer generation iPad pro? Or a larger ~12.9" iPad and making use of the larger interface?

Im enjoying Drambo workflow, but im hitting my CPU limit running a Drambo patch inside AUM doing some trivial things at times. I’m running the original iPad Pro which is now over 4 years old, its starting to show its age. Even just using one track of Drambo as MIDI sequencer into the Moog Model D app im exceeding 100% DSP in AUM.

Are those running the newer iPad Pro generation having a better experience? Might be time for an upgrade

@jimi23 I just picked up the latest iPad Pro (12”). I loaded Drambo within AUM and “transpose and jump” preset and cpu meter was around 8-10%.

Have a 2020 12.9" and am using Drambo a lot, never had issues. I just added 4 Drambos into 4 AUM Tracks, added EOS2 into every Track. Each Drambo plays at least 4 Tracks mostly Synths, some Samples. Was not able to touch 40%

I’ve not actually tried it yet but have an iPad Pro 10.5" & will have a play around later on today so that I can report back.

In other news: most Klevgrand plugins are half price at present so things like Degrader and DAWcassette that I linked earlier are quite as bracing on the bank balance. I just finally got around to getting Reamp, about which I’ve heard very good things. Any recommendations or other KlevGR apps gratefully received

Does anyone have a recommendation on an EQ that as opposed to being clinical offers “mojo”?

This is only one way. the info is offered up in your Audio Midi Set-up.

I’ve not tried it, but gotoeq claims to be a pultec style eq.

Also, seems that klevgrand is having a sale on a whack of apps right now.

I would second @Quesja’s recommendation of GotoEQ from Klevgrand and they also have one called REAMP that is very nice.

The other ones you might want to check are DDMF’s 6144 EQ and their DirectionalEQ, although the interfaces are not nearly as nice as Klevgrand.

DDMF’s are some the very best-sounding apps on ios to me. I don’t like the sound of Klevgrand’s stuff.

There doesn’t seem to be a dedicated AUM thread so posting here for help.
I’ve either found a bug, or I’m not seeing how to get a functionality working.
In the settings there’s an option to have the first aux send on a channel default to POST or PRE, OK… I made a channel yesterday with just two aux sends but AUM wouldn’t let them be different types. I wanted to send PRE to Borderlands, so I could mute the channel but still hear the signal, but AUM wasn’t having it, if I switched the second aux to POST, then the first one switched, too. Frustrating. There is, obviously a workaround, but it’s cumbersome and would need 3 channels instead of 1…
Am I missing something?

It’s more than possible to have aux sends that are both PRE and Post.

Long press on the AUX send, and then a selector pops out for you to define the AUX sends position in the signal chain. What version of AUM are you running?

That’s how I’ve tried to do it. I’m using the latest version.
SOLVED. Sort of, anyhow. The way AUM thinks of the signal flow, a PRE can’t follow a POST in the chain, even though it isn’t really a chain. So if you want PREs and POSTs on the same channel, the PREs have to be at the top.

From what I understand, inter-device audio is only from iPad to DAW (e.g. Ableton). I don’t believe you can send audio from DAW to iPad using this. At least I haven’t found a way.

twenty characters of yes.

Has anyone tried out Mazetools Mutant or Soniface? To what degree can one edit the synth parameters (i.e., do some sound design beyond presets)?
