Just because it’s been a while since I’ve played with the play head speed.

On Rozetta get two square LFOs that have a minimum value of 0. Then route Rozetta into Enso. Set one LFO to on press Play Speed + and the other Play speed minus. It can get pretty wild though.

so disabling “dub in place” makes it overdub with whatever fx and speed modulations happen in the moment?

Yeah well, like bouncing from one tape deck to another.

Brilliant - thanks! I’m an idiot for not exploring this way more than I have done.

On reflection, there are probably far easier ways of getting wow/flutter than using Enso - but it’s still one of my absolute favourite plugins for everything else “tape” bassed.

Tape Cassette and DAWCassette are going to give you all that stuff on the panel so you can set and forget.

Hi everyone, I’m going to pick up a 2020 pro. Could someone advise the memory option best suited for music, this will be its primary use. I’m not a video editor etc. Thanks

Any good oscilloscopes on ios?

I use the auv3 oscilloscope you get together with apematrix, I have sent a request to him for more features, and he said he will look over it soon, it’s not perfect but totally ok. I don’t know of any others, but I am looking for one that has a time slider so it can work with lfo’s . If you know any please let me know. Soon miRack will be auv3, and it has really good oscilloscope

I am trying to find a group of iOS music apps that caught my attention sometime ago, which I’m failing to track down (thank Apple for removing the wish list feature, who would ever want that?). There were 3 or 4 small apps made by the same developper, all very minimalistic and elegant in design, mostly made up of monochrome, pastel-coloured boxes. They drew some inspiration from the OP-1. I think I remember one of them being a delay / filter, and another one being some kind of karplus-strong synthesizer. Does anyone recognize this?

@simondemeule
yo… check out tardigrain…
same developer, just can’t remember the name.

There’s a bundle with four of his apps in for £15 (I guess it’s $15 in the US) too.

Can some one recommend realistic sounding roland tr 909 / 808 on ios?

Thanks!

Since you haven’t got a reply so far: Have you checked Ruismaker (not FM and not Noir)?

Ruismaker is a virtual analog drum synthesizer in the spirit of the iconic drum machines of the 20th century. No sampled sounds are used. Every single sound is fully synthesized using analog models, emulating electronic components – Introducing subtle differences in every hit; just like in the old days.

This what I usually go to. Realistic enough for me but what do I know. It’s the price of a hamburger so there’s that.
