February 9th 1964. I was upstairs in my room reading, when my mom called up to tell me that there was something on TV that might interest me. It was The Beatles on their first Ed Sullivan appearance. Two weeks later, I pestered my parents into buying me a guitar. Two years later, I played my first professional gig. I’ve been at it ever since. In 1967, I was in an art gallery in Chicago. There was some really strange music playing… “Silver Apples of the Moon” I didn’t get my hands on a synthesizer until I went to Indiana University in 1971. Managed to buy an ARP 2600 in 1979 and an MS-20 in 1983… I’ve been at that ever since as well.
